Terms of Service
Welcome to WhisperLink. By creating an inbox or sending a message, you agree to these terms.
What WhisperLink is
WhisperLink is a free service that lets anyone create a personal link and receive anonymous messages through it. Senders don't need an account, a name or an email address — messages are anonymous by design.
Your username and inbox
You choose a username of 3–20 letters, numbers and underscores. It is not a password-protected account: whoever has access to your browser has access to your inbox, so use a device you control.
You're responsible for the link you share and for any use of your username. Usernames that impersonate others, break these terms or South African law may be removed.
Sending messages
Messages can be up to 300 characters. You agree not to send content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit or spam. You also agree not to use WhisperLink to impersonate anyone or to break the law.
We may remove messages and block senders or usernames that break these rules, and we may co-operate with lawful requests from South African authorities.
Sender hints — R35, one time
Inbox owners can pay R35.00 (South African rand) once per message to unlock that message's sender hints: the country the message was sent from and the device and browser the sender used.
This is a one-time unlock — not a subscription and never auto-renewing. Senders pay nothing. Hints are clues only: they are not identification, and WhisperLink can't guarantee they reveal who sent a message.
Payments and refunds
Hint unlocks are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your card details. Because the hint unlocks immediately after payment, unlocks are generally non-refundable — but if a paid hint could not be delivered or was wrong, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
Availability and liability
WhisperLink is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for indirect losses or for the content of messages others send to your inbox.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the service evolves; the current version always lives on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
